2. Services Provided:
- The Hop Shop offers a wide range of auto repair services, including routine maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and part replacements. All services will be provided based on the customer’s request and the vehicle's specific needs.
- Our team will provide an estimate for any repairs or services before commencing any work. The customer will need to approve the estimate in writing, either electronically or in person.
3. Customer Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the vehicle, including its make, model, history of repairs, and any known issues.
- You must ensure that the vehicle is in a safe condition to work on and that all necessary documents, such as title or registration, are provided if required.
- You are responsible for picking up the vehicle once repairs are complete, unless prior arrangements are made for extended storage.
4. Authorization for Work:
- Before we begin any work on your vehicle, you must provide approval either verbally or in writing for any services to be performed. Any changes or additions to the initial scope of work will require new approval and may result in additional costs.
- By authorizing us to begin work, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for any pre-existing damages or issues that are not discovered during the diagnostic process.
5. Payments:
- Full payment is required upon completion of the services, unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, cash, and checks.
- In the event that payment is not received in full, The Hop Shop reserves the right to retain the vehicle until payment is made or to pursue legal action if necessary.
6. Warranties and Guarantees:
- We offer warranties on both labor and parts used in repairs. The warranty period for labor and parts will vary depending on the type of service and the manufacturer of the parts used.
- Warranty coverage does not apply to issues caused by misuse, accidents, or damage not related to the original repair or service.
- Any defects in parts or workmanship covered under warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge, provided the issue is reported within the warranty period.

12. Idaho Mechanic's Lien Law: In accordance with Idaho’s Mechanic's Lien Law, The Hop Shop reserves the right to place a mechanic’s lien on your vehicle if payment for services rendered is not received in full. If a customer fails to pay for completed repairs or parts within the agreed-upon time frame, the following procedures will apply:
-
Notice of Lien: If payment is not received within 30 days of the completion of services, The Hop Shop may send a notice of lien to the customer. This notice will inform the customer that a lien has been placed on the vehicle due to non-payment.
-
Lien Enforcement: If payment is not made within 60 days after the notice of lien is issued, The Hop Shop has the legal right to file a mechanic’s lien on the vehicle with the appropriate county clerk's office. This lien gives The Hop Shop the right to retain the vehicle until payment in full, including any accrued interest, fees, or costs, is received.
-
Sale of Vehicle: If the lien is not resolved within a reasonable period, The Hop Shop may take further action to sell the vehicle at public auction to recover the amount owed. Any remaining balance after the sale will be returned to the customer, if applicable, following the deduction of all owed fees.
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that in the event of non-payment, The Hop Shop may exercise its rights under Idaho’s Mechanic’s Lien Law to secure payment for services rendered.
